OK, it would take a lot to usurp Ebay, but I was really excited when I found Etsy! It’s obviously taken after the Ebay model, but it’s for handmade products. It’s free to sign up, you get your own site for free, and it’s only .20 listing fee for each product group. The listing lasts for 4 months and includes 5 pictures. When you sell your item, Etsy gets 3.5%. Not bad.
There is another part of Etsy you will be interested in if you are looking for work at home. It’s the “Alchemy” section. Odd name, (as if Etsy isn’t…) but it’s a list of items that people are looking for to be made for them, or items they need for their Etsy business. If you sew, it could be a great place to make a little extra with your talents. There’s much more than sewing jobs there, too.
If you want to send us the details on your new ‘Etsy’ store, we’ll feature what you’re doing on our blog just to support our WAHM’s !
Be blessed!
