What is Lapbooking?

Lapbooking has become the “thing” with homeschoolers, it seems. Sounds like a great idea, but with most of my children grown and gone, and the grandchildren are just getting started on the homeschool journey, I didn’t really know what “Lapbooks” were…exactly.
Lapbooks are basically putting all the work on a particular subject together in a book form, often a colored file folder as a cover. There are no set rules for how you assemble your books, so let your creativity level be your guide!
So, I did a search and found some really great sites for seasoned lapbook-ers AND beginners alike! I think lapbooking is a great idea, and puts their work together in a way they can be proud of!
