Face it, different manuals for different models, right? One size fits all potty chair just doesn’t cut it – unless you have all girls. Raising 3 boys I have stories during those potty training years that would make you cringe, but I would like to maintain my good relationship with my grown sons, sorry (I’ll tell you later….). Rachael (my oldest and only girl, now with 5 of her own under 7)  has twin boys and since she’s our official ‘product tracker’ we were both excited when we found this urinal for toddlers! (We do get excited over the strangest things, I know…)

It’s about time! The best way IMO to potty train any child is to take them in the bathroom with you, and let the imitation instinct do it’s thing. The only problem is, have you ever tried to talk your husband into sitting down while mentoring your little man? I thought so. A convenient stool is the logical solution, but newbies don’t always have time to get everything arranged ahead of time. Just the other day, one of the twins was very proud of himself when he hurriedly ran into the bathroom and stood at the toilet and thoroughly rinsed the front of the bowl! It’s hard to get excited with words of praise with a puddle rapidly running under the cabinet.

So we find this great new gadget (new to us, at least), but the price was almost $50, plus almost $10 shipping + tax. So we checked around and found it at Amazon for $39.99, with free shipping (& no tax as usual). You might like to know there were 53 reviews on the Peter Potty at the time, averaging 4.75 (on a 5.0 scale) stars, and it looks like it’s a hit with everyone that’s bought one so far. Good design, durable workmanship, easy to use and clean, the only complaint was it was a little high for a very young or small (prodigal) learner-although it is adjustable. I also think learning on a home urinal could help the ‘culture shock’ of their first encounter with a public urinal, too.

Let us know if you’ve had experience with the Peter Potty Toddler Urinal
or anything similar you’ve had success with.
