Saving money is on the top of most people’s To-Do lists more than ever. Amy Dacyczyn retired many years ago, but her books, The Tightwad Gazette 1-3, are selling better than ever! The Tightwad Gazettes are classics not only for all the great ideas, but Amy taught her readers how to calculate savings in terms of yearly savings. Saving a penny or two per flush doesn’t seem like much until you tally it as $60-$120/yr in savings!
Nowadays there are more websites telling you how to save money than there is time in the day to click on them all. Unfortunately, the majority of them are only advertising the sales of affiliates they will earn a commission from. I’m all for affiliate marketing, but when it mascarades as something it’s not, it’s frustrating.
These sites aren’t coupon or freebie sites (we’ll list those another time!) but are ten of the best websites that reliably offer real ways to save money.
1. Econobusters.com – written by a homeschool mom, Molly Green!
4. ThriftyFun.com -this one looks really, really good.
6. FrugalMom.net Look at SOON! Wahm , too
8. FreelanceByu.com – Check out their “How to feed a family of 4 on $30/week” at http://www.freelancebyu.com/thirtydollars_a_week.htm,
9. PPGazette.com -Be sure to check out their search engine of grocery circulars by area.
10. TipHero.com -Searches for the best coupon by store! http://coupons.tiphero.com/
And our bonus site…..Frugal WAHMS Talk Radio!
That should keep y’all busy ’till Monday!
