How To See The Comet Tonight

Comet Pan-starr Tonight there will be a comet passing closer to the earth than any comet recorded in earth’s history. Comet Pan-Starrs will be the brightest and most visible tonight at sunset, Sunday March 10.

What a great homeschool project! Something your children will remember (possibly because you spent the time with them to do this…) and most likely bore their grandchildren with the story!

Here are instructions to see the comet:

Here is where you can find the time sunset will appear in your area (type in a major city closest to you-does not seem to acknowledge small towns):

NOTE: The comet will be most visible in rural areas. The lights of a big city makes it difficult to see the details of a night sky.
