How To Make Money From Home
Here is our place to help you find a way to make money at home. We are not promoting any particular method, or company, or idea. No hidden agenda, honest.
We know from experience the maze of choices out there when considering ways to make money at home. We ALSO know from experience that there are many ways to throw away money trying to find a way to supplement the household income. Money that isn’t spare money….
Are YOU a Proverbs 31 Woman?
We all find it intimidating at times to live under the shadow of what “The Proverbs 31 Woman” has become to many Christian circles.
Relax. Know that God is our provider of not only money but the wisdom and ability to do what HE calls us to do. So, start with prayer.
Step ONE: Count the cost.
Ask yourself questions like:
Have you talked to your family about how they feel about this? Talking to your husband about how he feels about it may be a no-brainer, but sometimes wives assume think they already know how they feel and dive in without talking to them about it. You might be surprised at what your husband and family might have to say and they might have ideas you haven’t thought of. Friends and relatives can also be sources of wisdom and guidance, also.
How much time do I have to spend on this? Be sure to add in the extra time needed to organize and keep up your work station, keeping records, and doing taxes. Think it through-imagine all that is needed to maintain your income.
Will this take precious time away from my family? Ask them how they feel about it. Their support will make all the difference between enjoying your success or enduring making money that could be considered ‘bitter fruit’.
How much money will it cost to get started right? Corners can always be cut financially, but remember, time really IS money. I had to learn this the hard way, but I found that spending $100 on a VA (virtual assistant) saved me so much time that it paid for itself many times over. Don’t spend tons of time doing something it would take someone skilled only minutes to do.
Where will I work? Applying for a (phone) customer service job can pay nicely, but when you answer will you be able to hear the person on the other line over crying babies and laughing children? If you can’t talk on the phone somewhere that is quiet in your home, you might want to consider a different idea.
Is it work I enjoy? Granted, we may not always love our work because so many times a second income is very necessary for many reasons. However, if you hate every minute, or even dread doing whatever it is, this will eventually affect not only you, but how you serve your family. Trust God to show you another job. The best jobs are jobs that use your talents, which usually line up with what you like.
Think it through. A good business adviser will insist every new enterprise start with a business plan. This may seem silly or over-kill for your little venture, but even a mini plan will tell you if it’s worth your time. I have made this mistake**, so I can tell you it’s really quite tragic when you consider all the time (and money) spent away from your family that yielded very little. Naturally, everyone knows that it can take some time to see a profit in a new business and some will fail despite the best laid plans. Just make sure you have given it your best shot and avoid this mistake if you can. **(I’ll tell the story someday…D)
Count the cost!
Of course, I’m sure there are more things to consider, but it’s a place to start.

STEP 2: Choosing an Income Idea >>
Disclosure: There are places (links) where you might click that will take you to a company that has agreed to pay us a small amount if you decide to do business with them, but that’s how we support this website. (we explain how you can also earn money this way-see affiliate marketing)We will NEVER, ever suggest something that we don’t believe to be in your best interest just to make a tiny kickback. That not only goes against everything that we believe in here at Momma’s Choice, but it wouldn’t be too good for getting you to come back and visit us, now, would it?
PLEASE let us know what has or has not helped by commenting below (best place because others can see), or if you prefer, email us. If anything you have found on this list OR website did not meet your expectations…we really would really like to know. We can’t promise we will be able to do anything about it other than discontinue their ads, but we will try. Of course, it would be nice to know if there was something you liked, too! Thanks.
